Macros Inc Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

This notice applies to consumer health data as defined by Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370. It supplements the Macros Inc Privacy Policy. If the two conflict on consumer health data, this notice controls.

1. Consumer Health Data We Collect

Consumer health data is information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and that identifies past, present, or future physical or mental health status. For our Services, this includes:

  • Nutrition, dietary goals, height, weight, body measurements, training information, and macro calculator inputs and results you give us.
  • Health conditions or medication status you choose to share, including that you are seeking coaching related to weight or GLP-1 medication. We do not manage, adjust, or advise on medication.
  • Data you authorize from Apple Health or Health Connect in the client portal, limited to the categories you allow.
  • Inferences we draw from that data to provide coaching, such as progress toward a goal you set.

It does not include information that we have de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

We collect this data from you, from your use of the client portal, and from Apple Health or Health Connect if you connect them. We collect it to provide the coaching you request. Where the law requires consent to collect consumer health data, or to share it beyond what is necessary to provide that coaching, we will get your consent first.

2. How We Use It

We use consumer health data to provide coaching, operate and secure the Services, respond to support requests, and produce aggregated, de-identified research. Apple Health and Health Connect data is not included in that research unless you have given explicit permission for that research use. Except as described in Section 3, we do not use consumer health data for advertising or marketing. Data received from Apple Health or Health Connect is used only to provide the service, or as you direct. It is not used for advertising or marketing, it is not sold, and it is not transferred except to provide the service or as you direct.

3. How We Share It

We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share health and fitness measurements, intake answers, macro calculator inputs or results, or Apple Health or Health Connect data with advertising platforms. Identifiers, a stated goal, and the fact of a visit or purchase may be used for our own email marketing, measurement, and audiences for general coaching. Sending you your calculator or form results is part of providing that tool. We do not send form or calculator inputs or results to advertising platforms. GLP-1 Coaching pages and any condition-specific product pages send no advertising events. Buyers of those products are not included in uploaded customer lists. Event names stay generic, such as Purchase, and do not name GLP-1, a condition, or a medication.

We may share it with service providers that process it only to provide the Services for us, with a buyer or successor in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, and with authorities or others when we believe disclosure is required by law or needed to prevent fraud or harm. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Your Rights and Choices

You may withdraw consent for collection or sharing of consumer health data that is not necessary to provide the coaching you requested. You may ask us to confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data, to access it, to correct it, and to delete it. Where the law gives you a right to appeal a denial, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

Email [email protected]. We will respond as required by the applicable law. We may need to verify your request. Withdrawal or deletion does not require us to delete information we must keep for legal, security, or accounting reasons, or information that has been de-identified. Disconnecting Apple Health or Health Connect in the client portal stops new data from that app.

5. Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice from time to time. We will post the new version with a new effective date. Additional notice will be given only if required by law.
