Edible Protein Cookie Dough

Cookie dough you are supposed to eat raw: blended chickpeas, peanut butter, and vanilla whey with dark chocolate chips folded through. Tastes like the bowl you licked as a kid, works like a 15-gram-protein snack, and takes five minutes with no oven involved.

Method

  1. Blend the chickpeas, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt in a food processor until completely smooth, scraping down twice.

💡 Tip: Keep going past 'nearly there'. Fully smooth is the whole trick.
  2. Add the protein powder and oat flour and blend again, streaming in the milk until it comes together like soft cookie dough.

  3. Fold the chocolate chips through by hand.

  4. Eat immediately, or chill 30 minutes for firmer scoops. Keeps 5 days refrigerated.

Notes

Blend the chickpeas properly smooth before anything else goes in. Grainy dough gives the game away.
No raw flour and no raw egg means genuinely safe to eat by the spoon.
The splash of milk is the texture dial — add it slowly until the dough just holds together.
Chill 30 minutes if you can wait. The flavors settle and it firms to proper dough texture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it actually taste like cookie dough?

Closer than it has any right to. Peanut butter, vanilla, maple, and chocolate are most of what cookie dough flavor is, and smooth-blended chickpeas provide the texture without announcing themselves. Nobody has ever guessed the base unprompted.

Is it really safe to eat raw?

Yes — the unsafe parts of real cookie dough are raw flour and raw egg, and this contains neither. Oat flour is the only flour and it needs no cooking.

Can I bake it?

It is built for the spoon, not the oven — baking makes dense protein pucks. If you want baked, our Protein Cookies are the recipe for that; this one is for the dough craving itself.
