Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use chicken thighs instead of chicken breast?
Yes. Chicken thighs work well and will add a bit more juiciness and flavour. Adjust the cooking time as needed and check they are fully cooked before serving.
How do I make this recipe lower in carbs?
Swap the large wraps for lettuce leaves or serve the chicken and vegetables over a fresh salad for a lower-carb meal.
Can I prepare these wraps ahead of time?
Absolutely. Store the cooked chicken and roasted vegetables separately in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, and assemble fresh wraps as needed to keep them from getting soggy.
What if I don't have taco seasoning?
You can mix your own using a blend of chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and oregano. Taste and adjust seasoning to your preference.
Can I use different vegetables?
Yes, you can substitute or add veggies like courgette, mushrooms, broccoli, or sweetcorn. Use whatever you have on hand or prefer.
Do I need to cover the tray while baking?
No, bake uncovered for best caramelisation and to prevent the vegetables from steaming.
