Juicy, savoury Asian-style meatballs coated in a sweet-and-sticky sauce, cooked quickly in an air fryer. These versatile meatballs are perfect for rice bowls, noodles, wraps, or as an easy snack throughout the week.

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, garlic, ginger, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.

  2. Mix until just combined, then roll into evenly sized meatballs.

  3. Place the meatballs into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

  4. Air fry at 190°C for 10–12 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly golden.

  5. While the meatballs cook, whisk together all of the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

  6. Toss the cooked meatballs in the sauce until evenly coated.

  7. Serve with rice, noodles, or vegetables and garnish with sesame seeds or spring onions if desired.

Notes

Allow the meatballs to cool completely before storing.
Keep in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
