How to Do the Feet Elevated Glute Bridge
- Lie on your back with your heels on a bench or step, knees bent around 90 degrees.
- Rest your arms at your sides, palms down.
- Brace your core with your ribs down.
- Drive through your heels to lift your hips into a straight line from shoulders to knees.
- Squeeze the glutes at the top for a full second.
- Lower under control without resting between reps.

Do This
Form Cues
- Set the heels on the bench so the knees sit at roughly 90 degrees at the top.
- Drive through the heels and finish with the glutes.
- Keep the ribs down rather than arching to gain height.
- Dig the heels into the bench and think of dragging them toward you. That pull is what wakes the hamstrings up.
Avoid This
Common Mistakes
- Pushing through the toes, which brings the hamstrings in.
- Arching the lower back at the top.
- Letting the hips drop straight down without control.
- Setting the feet so far away that the hamstrings cramp before the glutes ever work.
